Welcome to our self catering cabins on the banks of spectacular Loch Awe in Argyll. Situated in the beautiful Inverliever forest, our cabins are positioned well away from the quiet loch side road, sit on large private plots and are not overlooked. We offer two charming, well equipped self catering cabins sleeping 4 to 5 people in comfort. They offer the perfect opportunity to be at one with nature in a truly stunning setting.
Dalavich Forest Park is a unique location created by the forestry commission as a place of tranquillity, amid outstanding scenery. In addition to the peace and quiet of the cabin locations the surrounding area provides an amazing natural playground with forests, burns, rivers, mountains and lochs to explore and enjoy. The area has a proliferation of walks, cycle routes and local attractions and is a well know destination for anglers.
In addition to this there are playing fields within the park and a newly built community centre at the site entrance, offering a Bar / restaurant and entertainment. The village also offers a shop / post office / café, boat hire and cycle hire. The people of Dalavich are incredibly friendly and make all cabin guests very welcome within the village.
The land upon which our cabins sit provides a natural habitat for all manner of woodland birds, Pine Martin, Red Squirrel & the burn teems with small, wild brown trout. In the surrounding hills and forests Red Deer, Roe Deer, Capercaille, Golden Eagle, Osprey and much more can be seen.
Many visitors are captivated by the area, as we were, and return time and again to the shores of Loch Awe. We hope that you too will visit our highland hideaway and enjoy the natural wonders of this unspoilt part of Scotland.
